An exciting opportunity is available for a Field Technician to support aviation customers and aircraft manufacturers. This role involves providing maintenance, repair, and inspection services on aircraft engines, both domestically and internationally. The position requires extensive travel and hands‑on technical expertise in aircraft engine systems.
The Field Technician will work closely with maintenance operations to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repair, inspection, and overhaul activities on aircraft engines and modules
- Comply with work scope instructions provided by Maintenance Operations Control
- Disassemble, clean, reassemble, and repair engine components
- Use troubleshooting techniques to identify defects in parts or components
- Access and utilize engine technical documentation (AMM, EMM, IPC, etc.)
- Interpret and apply Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, and technical variances as required
- Obtain and maintain repair station inspection approval
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 100% as required
- Safely lift engine components weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
- Successfully pass required vision and physical capability assessments
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience
- Associate Degree with 3+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience
- Ability to meet safety‑sensitive position requirements, including pre‑employment background checks and drug screening in compliance with FAA/DOT regulations
- Experience with gas turbine engines
- Prior field service or customer‑facing technical experience
- Familiarity with aircraft or engine logbooks
- Experience in a FAR 145 repair station environment
- Ability to act in a lead capacity as directed by Maintenance Operations Control
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
