North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a
Mold Flow Engineer - II to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform mold flow modeling and analysis using standard mold flow simulation software; and provide data for the design, development, and troubleshooting of production tooling.
- Runs simulations and analysis via Mold Flow software in order to:
- Obtain proper tool settings for various materials
- Verify proper gate locations and wall thicknesses for tooling
- Verify knit lines, gas traps, and warpage of tooling
- Troubleshoot issues with tooling during testing and production
- Perform VA/VE activities on products and processes
- Inputs actual results into mold flow model to improve predictions for future parts.
- Creates and distributes Mold Flow reports, as required.
- Develops complete understanding of NAL products and manufacturing process, and of the tooling required for products being designed.
- Maintains records and history of Mold Flow reports.
Your Background
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology, plus 2 to 4 years of related manufacturing experience.
2 years of engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment is preferred.
Salary Range: $75,000 - $92,000
