Advanced Practice Provider--PRN Pre-Anesthesia Clinic

Horizon Health is looking for a PRN Advanced Practice Provider (APP) towork in our Pre-Anesthesia Clinic.

We are a rural organization that includes a critical access hospital, extensive outpatient services, and rural health clinics, but much larger in scopeand size than typical rural organizations. The Advance Practice Provider (APP) will play a vital role in optimizing patient health prior to surgery while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

Pre
- Anesthesia Clinic:

• Current license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois. Willing to get Indiana licensure.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation-BLS.
• Preferred three (3) years of Advance Practice Provider experience.
• Compassionate patient centered approach to care.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Evaluate cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and overall health status prior to surgery.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including lab work, EKGs, and imaging studies.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding anesthesia and procedural expectations.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Horizon Health is staffed with 21 primary care physicians and providers,with specialty support in behavioral health, urology, women’s health,general surgery, bariatric surgery, orthopedics, spine surgery, pain management,dermatology, podiatry, wound care, neurology, endocrinology, and cardiology.
• Additionally, we have 13 visiting specialists that see patients in theclinic each month. The hospital has a 24/7 hospitalist service, and wehave two convenient care walk-in clinics.
• We have a provider friendly EMR.
• In 2024/2025, we completed major renovations to our Emergency Department,added primary care clinics in Tilton and Marshall, Illinois, and expanded physical therapy services into Terre Haute, Indiana.

Compensation: $75/hr.
