Base Pay Starts
: $30‑$35 per hour.
Shift: 1st Shift – 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during training, then 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. once training is complete.
Job Summary
:
Maintenance Technician III is an electro‑mechanical position. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to supporting manufacturing operations, adjusting and repairing equipment as needed, tracking usage of and ordering replacement parts.
- Diagnose and repair complex electro‑mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
- Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
- Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
- Advanced understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current and resistance
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo‑eyes, etc.
- Advanced understanding of electrical safety and motor control circuits and programmable drives
- Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues
- Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment and relocate machines
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
- Perform simple to complex mechanical preventative maintenance tasks following instructions
- Enter all work completed in computer‑based maintenance program
- Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
- Adjust equipment based on Statistical Process Control data and team with QA
- Train Level I and II technicians in more complex tasks and skills
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Associate’s degree in a related field, or equivalent related experience
- 3–7 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of and experience with Lock‑Out, Tag‑Out procedures
- Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality
- Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off‑hours and emergency overtime as required
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Must be willing to attend training sessions as needed, including out‑of‑state locations
- Ability to assist in training Level I and II technicians
- Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining)
- Possess strong work ethic and knowledge of intermediate troubleshooting
- Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team, including establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with employees, vendors, contractors, and suppliers
- Ability to show attention to detail in a very fast‑paced environment

- Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work with exposure to potentially hazardous conditions, use varied hand and power tools, drive a motor vehicle and/or light construction equipment, fork trucks, platform lifts, etc.
- Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment
- Regularly required to walk; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear. Frequently required to stand and sit for long periods, as well as occasionally be required to climb or balance.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus
- Exposure to variable temperatures as impacted by the weather, chemicals, and rotating shifts
Mainly a manufacturing facility, where exposed to moving mechanical parts, forklifts, heavy pallets, moderate to loud noise level, and airborne dust, powders, and fumes.
