How you'll contribute

A Physical Therapist (PT) who excels in this role:

  • Evaluates and treats patients per medically prescribed physical therapy plans.
  • Designs and implements individualized programs to restore function, alleviate pain, and prevent disability; provides patient/family education on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation.
  • Supervises physical therapist assistants, students, and aides in delivering care.
  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition and functional status.
  • Develops and updates an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, based on goals and capabilities.
  • Plans, prepares, and carries out evidence-based interventions to maintain, improve, or restore function; alleviate pain; and prevent dysfunction.
  • Delivers therapy using standard PT techniques and modalities appropriate to patient age and condition (e.g., moist heat/cold, ultrasound, UV/IR lamps, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy).
  • Administers physical agents and operates PT equipment safely; performs necessary set-up and checks.
  • Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices; recommends modifications as needed.
  • Identifies/document goals, anticipated progress, and timelines; plans for reevaluation and discharge.
  • Directs and supervises PTAs, students, and support personnel; delegates tasks appropriately and ensures clear communication.
  • Accurately documents assessments, interventions, patient response, education, and progress toward goals.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education; performs other duties as assigned

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have a current bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. Additional requirements include:

  • Education
    :
    Bachelor’s Degree required (Physical Therapy).
  • License
    :
    Current Physical Therapy license in state of practice.
    Certifications
    : BCLS required.
