Provides direct security and related public services.

• Upkeeping the security and safety of the hospital, its staff, and its patients and visitors.
• Serving as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on hospital property.
• Supervising at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
• Performing other job-related duties as assigned.

• Completed High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications.
• Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet HSS a Tarian company driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles).
• Previous work experience with the public in a service setting.
• Ability to meet qualification standards for TASER position and annually thereafter.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any applicable local or state license or permit to carry a TASER.
• Ability to participate in and pass additional TASER training at the discretion of the TASER instructor.
• Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of the HSS a Tarian company Conducted Energy Weapon (TASER) and HSS a Tarian company's Taser Policy.
