Material Handler – Day (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) & Second Shift (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM)
Location: Paris, KY
Type: Contract / Full-Time
Duration: Day Shift: 08/05/2025 – 12/31/2025 | Second Shift: 09/22/2025 – 12/31/2025
Compensation: $23/hr
About the Role:
Our client, a leading global operations company, is seeking dependable, safety-conscious Material Handlers to support warehouse and distribution operations across multiple shifts. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment and can operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inbound Operations: Unload trucks, trailers, and containers; verify shipments against manifests; inspect for damage or discrepancies; report shortages or mis-shipments; move materials safely to storage locations.
- Order Picking: Accurately pick products by number, quantity, and type (lot, batch, serial number); transport orders using forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment; label, tag, band, wrap, and palletize as required.
- Outbound Operations: Verify outbound orders for quantity, labeling, and accuracy; efficiently load trailers, railcars, or containers; obtain signatures for shipments when needed.
- Equipment & Maintenance: Operate and maintain warehouse equipment safely and in compliance with OSHA standards; charge forklift batteries and maintain work areas.
- Inventory Management: Keep accurate inventory records; assist with physical counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation; input adjustments in warehouse management systems as needed.
- Additional Duties: Repack, consolidate, or repair goods; operate shrink-wrap machines; clean trailers, docks, and work areas; perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- OSHA Forklift and HAZMAT certification is a plus
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs using proper techniques
- Able to follow directions with emphasis on safety and accuracy
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse systems
- Able to work in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Available to work assigned shift (Day or Second)
- Strong communication skills: read SOPs, complete reports, interact with supervisors and team members
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to apply common sense to routine instructions and solve basic warehouse problems
- Physical stamina: stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements
- Reliable work habits and the ability to handle stress or shifting priorities
- Industrial warehouse setting with exposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and temperature changes
- Requires standing, walking, lifting, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
- Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory

- Second Shift: Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM
