We are seeking experienced Solar Technicians to join Consolidated Asset Management Services (CAMS) Renewable Services LLC for a site‑based role near Paris, TX.
Brief DescriptionSolar Technicians with experience in Balance of Plant (BOP) electrical systems, grid‑scale PV, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and electrical repairs. Rotational night shift work and support of Remote Operations Center tools.
Reports ToSr. Solar Site Technician. The Director also supports the Sr. Technician.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform all work safely and in compliance with company safety policies.
- Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on PV and BESS systems and components.
- Fully utilize CAMS’ work order system for all maintenance activities.
- Replace/install hardware, inverters, monitoring equipment, and other site components.
- Perform electrical testing using appropriate PPE and safety protocols.
- Prepare reports to meet O&M contract deliverables.
- Support maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
- Attend manufacturer‑approved training sessions as required.
- Use company‑provided equipment and resources according to guidelines.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, EHS standards, and housekeeping practices.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Travel overnight up to 10%.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, technical manuals, and regulations.
- Experience in PV and BESS installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting preferred (related experience considered).
- Minimum of 2 years of electrical knowledge/training.
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, planning, and customer service skills.
- Professional communication with internal teams, customers, and local stakeholders.
- Flexible, self‑disciplined, and high integrity.
- Available for weekend work and on‑call emergencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Certifications:
NFPA 70e, Substation Level I & II, First Aid/CPR. - Ability to certify in thermal imaging within 12 months.
- Physically able to:
- Lift objects over 10 lbs.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Work outdoors in extreme weather.
- Navigate uneven terrain and confined spaces.
- Wear required PPE.
- Valid Texas Electrician License.
- Experience with CATL Battery Systems, EPC Power PCS Inverters, Nextracker, and Sungrow Inverters.
- Manufacturer training certifications in PV, BESS, and PCS systems.
- Experience commissioning equipment and performing HV/MV switching and substation work.
- Certified in thermal imaging and analysis.
- Familiarity with remote monitoring platforms such as Fractal and Indie.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record. The position requires occasional travel for company business. Candidates must meet company and insurance requirements.
