Sales Associate

Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing quality customer service and driving product sales. The Associate is knowledgeable in each product area or department of the store, upholds policies and procedures listed in the visual and operations manuals, and fully promotes each sale and/or promotion. They serve as an ambassador of the organization and brand, creating a unique customer experience that helps acquire and retain long‑time customers while delivering outstanding customer service.

Reports to:

Store Manager

• Produce extraordinary customer service highlighted in the customer service manual, helping customers as they enter the store and during peak periods.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by the organization.
• Set goals to grow and improve selling skills and track overall sales.
• Practice and uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the various manuals and memos.
• Assist in daily store operations, including completing work lists, clean‑up lists, weekly shipments, and store maintenance.
• Utilize merchandise presentation techniques to promote and sell goods, following guidance in the product knowledge manual.
• Consistently achieve and/or exceed sales targets and goals.
• Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns, and operational problems to store management.
• Attend all staff meetings and tech clinics for the store.
• Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risk.

No supervisory responsibilities for this role.

• 0-2 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without being prompted.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team‑player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.
