Associate Field Technician​/Field Technician​/Sr.Field Technician

Overview

Associate Field Technician/ Field Technician/ Sr. Field Technician role at Boardwalk Pipelines. This position is for our Paris, TX office. The role is responsible for the operation and maintenance at the Paris Tx Compressor Station and related pipeline facilities. May occasionally assist in other areas. The position requires compliance with all Company, DOT, PHMSA, OSHA, and Environmental rules and regulations. Normal work hours are 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM CST, Monday – Friday, with occasional schedule adjustments.

The successful candidate must live within 30 miles of the Paris Tx Compressor Station.

• Operate and maintain the Paris Tx Compressor Station and related pipeline facilities.
• Learn and apply the Company OMS process for documenting job functions as required.
• Occasionally perform unscheduled and/or emergency work as needed.
• Participate in On-Call duties when operator qualified and respond to call outs as necessary.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and schedule multiple tasks.
• Experience with Microsoft programs; ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturers’ guidelines.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for at least 50 ft., operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns, and work alone in extreme weather conditions.
• Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record; ability to operate an all-terrain vehicle.
• Strong commitment to personal and team safety.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred:
  Technical School/College

• Gas Pipeline Experience (preferred)
• Electrical Experience (preferred)
• Mechanical Experience (preferred)
