EVS Representative –
Cross Winds Casino
Responsible for attending to the cleaning and stocking needs of assigned area(s) of the property.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES ANDACCOUNTABILITIES
- Dust, sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, empty wastebaskets, and clean assigned areas.
- Clean bathrooms, scrub, wax, and strip floors as assigned.
- Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture as needed.
- Clean machines; empty and clean ashtrays.
- Assist in the transportation of trash, dirty glasses, and dirty linens to designated areas.
- Assist in minor maintenance in public areas (e.g., change light bulbs, unplug toilets) and report problems to the EVS Lead or EVS Supervisor.
- Re‑stock paper supplies, chemical supplies in bottles, and maintain washroom supplies.
- Stock and maintain housekeeping storage rooms.
- Inspect work areas, identify potential problems or repair needs, and notify the EVS Supervisor.
- Attend regularly scheduled meetings with employees on assigned shift.
- Adhere to performance standards, company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a consistent, regular attendance record.
- Promote positive customer relations.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with co‑workers, management and guests.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned.
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent and previous housekeeping experience (preferred).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business demands.
- Reliable, punctual and collaborative with co‑workers and managers.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in areas containing high noise levels and secondhand smoke.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in a high‑stress environment.
- Speak and communicate effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
- Ability to verbally communicate using appropriate English standards of language.
- Ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts and perform mathematical functions applicable to business needs.
- Must be able to qualify for any and all licenses or permits required by local, State, Federal and/or Wyandotte Nation law.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 50 lbs in emergency situations.
- Ability to function in a smoking environment.
- Employee smoking is restricted to outside location and during break times.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise levels in the work environment are constant.
- Ascend/descend flights of stairs to access office and break areas throughout the work day.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for the entirety of shift as required to conduct normal assigned duties.
