About Powered By MRP

Powered by MRP is building the first end‑to‑end marketplace providing the world’s largest selection of new and pre‑owned aesthetic equipment, supplies, and managed services from the industry’s top companies. Our cutting‑edge technology‑driven marketplace helps clinicians generate new revenue, lower upfront equipment and ongoing supply costs.

MRP is at an exciting point in our history, having obtained funding from investors like Huntsman and Traeger. Our passionate founders, who bootstrapped the business for nine years, still control and lead the business by adding two top‑tier growth equity partners to help scale the MRP vision into reality.

We are looking for a proven, experienced sales procurement professional to join our Buy Team and play a pivotal role in the ground floor of expansion in one of the most exciting industries for high‑level sales professionals.

About the Job

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be solely responsible for the end‑to‑end process of acquiring used aesthetic laser and energy devices. Your expertise in identifying valuable equipment, evaluating market conditions, and negotiating favorable purchase terms will be critical to your success and the profitability of our pre‑owned inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing & Evaluation:
    • Proactively identify and source opportunities to purchase pre‑owned aesthetic laser and energy devices from clinics, dealers, and other sellers.
    • Evaluate incoming offers and information from sellers (e.g., via Laser Match listings, inbound inquiries) to determine the viability and value of prospective acquisitions.
    • Assess market demand, current inventory levels, and historical performance data to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Negotiation & Acquisition:
    • Lead all pricing negotiations with sellers to secure the most competitive purchase prices for pre‑owned equipment.
    • Manage the entire procurement cycle, from initial offer generation to securing purchase agreements and coordinating device acquisition.
    • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Logistics, Refurbishment, Sales) to ensure a smooth and efficient intake process for acquired devices.
  • Market Analysis & Strategy:
    • Continuously monitor the secondary market for aesthetic equipment, including pricing trends, supply fluctuations, and emerging device popularity.
    • Develop and refine procurement strategies to ensure a consistent flow of high‑demand, high‑quality pre‑owned inventory.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with potential sellers and industry contacts to build a robust network for sourcing devices.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procurement activities, device specifications, and transaction statuses within Salesforce and other internal systems.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing, ideally within the medical device, aesthetic equipment, or high‑value electronics industries.
  • Proven track record of success in negotiating purchase prices and securing favorable terms in acquisition deals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess market data, evaluate device value, and make data‑driven purchasing decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in negotiation and relationship‑building with suppliers/sellers.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a high volume of potential acquisitions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑motivated with a results‑driven approach to optimizing inventory acquisition.
  • Knowledge of aesthetic laser and energy devices (manufacturers, models, market value) is a significant plus.
Benefits
  • We offer competitive compensation packages and a comprehensive benefits plan, including:
  • Health Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • 401K
  • Healthcare FSA & Dependent Care FSA
  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
