    Experience/Training :

    • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering
    • 10 + plus years working in the Preconstruction Process as a Sr. Estimator, Chief Estimator
    • LEED Accredited Professional preferred

    • Proficient in Prolog, Timberline, OST, P6, Bluebeam, MS Office
    • Excellent computer skills
    • Ability to communicate at a high level

    • Understanding of Construction Cost and is aware of current market conditions

    Duties, Responsibilities and Expectations: (other duties may be assigned to meet business needs)

    • Create new relationships and opportunities with customers
    • Exhibits strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external, loyalty to Big-D, in fulfillment of Big-D’s stewardship/mission
    • Leads all preconstruction services for their projects
    • Directs all professional staff in the preconstruction process and leads their teams in such a way to maximize the contributions of each team member
    • Provides continuous project oversight during the design and preconstruction phase
    • Fosters collaboration within the project team
    • Ultimately accountable for accurate estimates, cost studies, benchmarking, and team participation as necessary to gain approval for the project to proceed into construction
    • Works with the Project Director and Project management team to ensure a successful transition from preconstruction to construction
    • Acts as the primary owner contact throughout preconstruction
    • Recognize the skills of project personnel, nominating worthy individuals for Big-D awards and advancement
    • Recruit high caliber personnel from outside sources to work at Big-D
    • Supports Big-D’s mission and values as well as all policies and procedures
