We are Archadeck of Park City, serving the greater Salt Lake and Park City, UT areas. Archadeck Outdoor Living is North America’s leading designer and builder of outdoor living spaces such as decks, porches, sunrooms, hardscape patios, and shade structures.

We seek construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to work on our residential building & remodeling projects. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck franchise. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow our documented processes.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our Construction Manager will be primarily responsible for the successful and efficient completion of projects as sold to our clients. You will lead the production team and subcontractors, providing oversight of their assigned responsibilities. The right candidate will consider the big picture and position our resources to ensure efficiency and accuracy of all projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review sold projects to ensure they meet our production standards and timeline to build
  • Submit and review construction drawings for internal and 3rd party approvals
  • Schedule internal and external resources per the agreed-upon project timeline
  • Develop and execute the weekly production management goals and plan
  • Ensure that all details are clearly identified and communicated to the crew(s)
  • Oversight of project safety
  • Provide daily updates on the status of all active projects
  • Manage job costing
  • Successfully execute project closing procedures
  • Assist in developing prequalified subcontractor bidders list, review qualifications, and award contracts
  • Manage all incoming warranty items to closure in a timely manner
  • Provide technical and procedural construction direction to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide leadership and developmental guidance of assigned team members
  • Provide regular and appropriate feedback to production personnel and crews to improve their work and the results we provide clients
  • Develop systems, tools, and methods to improve the profitability and/or client satisfaction of the business
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 3 years of construction management experience is required
  • Project or Construction Management degree preferred but extensive, relative job experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • A high standard for customer service
  • Strong organizational skills that include the ability to multitask on several projects at once
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Strong desktop and mobile technology skills. Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience is mandatory as well as CAD experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to recruit, manage and coordinate tradesmen
  • Must provide proof of auto insurance and a valid driver’s license

Compensation range starts at $30 per hour and increases depending on experience. Other benefits not listed include vehicle, phone, and tool allowances.
