Overview
Event Sales Manager, Venues – Hotel Services (Park City) role Sales Manager, Venues is responsible for guiding customers through event experiences, identifying solutions that meet goals and objectives, and maximizing event revenue from the assigned customer base. The position supports company initiatives, business strategies and Core Values and reports to a Sr. Sales Manager, Sales Director, or Director, Event Technology.
Key Job Responsibilities- Revenue Generation:
Drive results by soliciting and securing business through a proactive, consultative sales approach using Encore’s sales process and methodology; prepare and present quotes and proposals in a timely manner; collaborate with vendors and other departments to capture and service events; attend site visits and planning meetings as needed; understand event cost structures and incorporate them into solution designs according to profitability guidelines. - Relationship Management:
Deliver world-class service by cultivating and maintaining relationships with customers, venue personnel and Encore support functions; research customer history to create personalized experiences; respond to questions and challenges; keep customer information up to date in the CRM; refer and guide customers through the Encore network to secure additional opportunities. - Sales Accountability:
Maintain a healthy pipeline and achieve revenue targets; ensure opportunities are in CRM and up to date; support sales forecasting at the home location; learn and adopt SOPs and stay informed about new products, services and technologies for meetings and events.
- BS/BA or 1+ years of Encore or equivalent experience required
- 1 year of technology sales or hospitality experience preferred
- Prior sales experience in audiovisual is a plus
- Knowledge of the hospitality industry and sales processes preferred
- Technical aptitude and computer proficiency required

- Sitting 4-5 hours per day;

Hotel/convention center environment with varying temperatures and exposure to dust. Work may involve high-end AV equipment, heights via lifts and ladders, and irregular hours including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Occasional travel to multiple hotel locations. Adherence to appearance guidelines as defined by Encore or the represented hotels.
CompensationSalary Pay Range: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00. Final compensation is based on location, travel, experience and skills; overtime, bonuses or incentives may apply where eligible.
