Promontory is currently operating three courses which include the Pete Dye Canyon Course, the Jack Nicklaus Painted Valley Signature course, and The Hills, a Forrest Richardson designed 18‑hole par 3 course.

We are seeking an Irrigation Technician to conduct maintenance and repairs on a Toro irrigation system for the Pete Dye Canyon Course. The individual will report to the Superintendent who oversees all maintenance practices of the golf course. Experience with Toro 700 and 800 series rotors is strongly preferred.

• Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system.
• Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads.
• Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools.
• Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements.
• Operates, maintains and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, and irrigation control wire.
• Reports any serious irrigation issues to the Superintendent and maintains a daily log of completed repairs.
• Prioritizes irrigation issues and uses time efficiently.
• Conducts monthly checks of all sprinkler heads on the entire golf facility.
• Routinely inspects irrigation system components to ensure system is operating properly.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Winter responsibilities will include snow removal throughout Promontory Club parking lots.

Total Compensation $25-$30/hr depending on experience, and is benefit eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance.
