Junior Software Engineer

THE ROLE:

As a Software Engineer I you are in an entry-level position in the field of software engineering. In this role you will work closely with senior engineers and contribute to the development of software solutions. Your primary focus is learning and applying software development principles to create functional and high-quality software components.

• Due to federal contract requirements, applicants must be U.S. persons and eligible for a U/S. security clearance

• Collaborate with team members to understand functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications.
• Assist in the development of high-level product specifications and contribute to system integration considerations.
• Support the development of both front-end and/or back-end software components.
• Participate in the creation and/or review of designs for software and user interfaces.
• Learn and follow coding standards and best practices.
• Contribute to code reviews.
• Manage local software development environment (SDE).
• Update and maintain documentation of local SDE.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.

• Ability to obtain and maintain US DoD Security Clearance
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in software development concepts and coding.
• Desire to expand software development skills.
• Competent teamwork and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to author original code rather than maintain existing code
