PAY RATE: $25.40 - $30.17 (USD) PER HOUR
JOB SUMMARYThe Streets III Winter Seasonal Snow removes snow from across the city to provide enhanced community safety throughout the winter season.
TYPICAL DUTIES- Operates a variety of specialized equipment such as front-end loader, trucks, de-icing, snow hauling, plowing, sweeping and cleaning streets, in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
- Assists with asphalt paving/patching, striping/traffic markings.
- Installs signposts, street signs, checks for maintenance and replaces broken signs as needed.
- Places temporary traffic control devices including barricades, lane cones and warning signs to channel traffic.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Applicants must be over the age of 18
- Must maintain a DOT physical card with the ability to obtain/maintain a Utah Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake
- Knowledge of heavy/snow removal equipment operation
- Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment
- Ability to work alone and make sound decisions
- Shift work; (4) 10-hour shifts per week
- Working in inclement weather conditions and extreme temperatures
- Periodic exposure to stressful situations.
