All About On-DemandYou can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those who are looking for a personalized work schedule.
As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule. When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.
You are expected to engage actively by picking up and working shifts at least once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you need to respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm your interest in working shifts you do not respond, employment may be terminated. Additionally, if you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be administratively terminated.
Your communication and ability to work when our business demands it are critical to your success in this role. If offered a position as an On-Demand TM, you will be required to attend a Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, the myTime mobile scheduling app is where you can pick up desired shifts.
Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at checkout lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive-up while ensuring exceptional quality.

Typical Day Responsibilities - A typical day will most likely include the following:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- Engage with guests to assist with their needs
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Thank guests and acknowledge their visit
- Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards and Best Practices
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; direct guests to fulfill, activate and use fulfillment services
- Explain wallet features and Target App capabilities
- Handle returns following policies, escalating when needed
- De-escalate situations with leaders as needed to recover guest experience
- Deliver accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store hours and assist guests as needed
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- Work safely; comply with safety policies and report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders and returns; comply with adult beverage laws where applicable
- Support cash office processes as needed
- All other duties based on business needs
