Assistant Baker

Overview

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is looking for a talented part‑time Assistant Bread Baker. The position requires a passion for food quality, customer service, and community, as well as a commitment to our artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads baked with honest, whole ingredients.

• Follow recipes and pay close attention to detail to create one‑of‑a‑kind breads.
• Lift large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies weighing 50 lb. and more, and stand, lift, and mix as a daily requirement.
• Work through change and remain flexible while keeping a close eye on what’s cooking.
• Shift schedule: afternoons/nights, shifts start around 11 am–7 pm; include a Sunday shift when the store is closed and occasional overnight shifts during holiday seasons.

• Large‑scale baking/pastry experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right person.
• Attentiveness to compliance with local, state, and federal food handling and sanitation standards.
• Formal baking/pastry education is a bonus.

Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for the role of Assistant Bread Baker at Kneaders Bakery & Cafe.

Part‑time, Saturday shifts are off. The role is FULL‑TIME POSITION AVAILABLE for a different posting; this is a PART‑TIME opportunity.
