As a store associate, you open and close the store, prepare the floor and stock room for the business day, handle product returns, refunds, and cash drops, provide change to customers, deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, and support the team in operations, inventory, pricing, displays, and compliance.

Customer Experience
  • Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
  • Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Models customer service best practices and shares Walgreens service traits with team members.
Operations
  • Responsible for holding store keys and opening/closing the store without management.
  • Assists and coaches team members on vendor ordering process and opening the backdoor for deliveries.
  • Registers all related sales on assigned cash register, records scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
  • Assists manager on order exceptions, reverse logistics, and display evaluation.
  • Maintains accurate inventory counts, pricing, and displays.
  • Assists with bookkeeping activities including cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments.
  • Maintains clean, orderly store condition and appearance.
  • Ensures compliance with state and local regulations regarding regulated products.
  • Assists at pharmacy out window as requested.
  • Coordinates bag checks before leaving the store.
  • Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
  • Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
  • Serves as a liaison between management and staff by communicating assigned tasks.
  • Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
  • One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
  • We will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
  • Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Salary Range: $18 - $21 / Hourly
