• Use your knowledge of Car Max inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs.
• Guide customers every step of the way, from sale or appraisal to test drives and arranging financing applications.
• Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions for our customers.

Car Max pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training, and through the first 640 hours of selling, after which commissions become the primary base of pay. This is a high‑energy sales environment where you will work as a team to meet goals, and we’ll give you everything you need to be successful. Auto sales experience is not necessary – we provide paid training and a personal sales mentor dedicated to your ongoing development.

• Sales and customer service experience in an area such as retail is preferred.
• Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
• High level of self‑motivation.

Hourly Rate: $20.00 - $20.00

Commissions:
This position is eligible for commission.

Except as otherwise required by state law, Car Max Associates are entitled to the following paid sick, vacation, and holiday time.

• Full‑time hourly or commissioned associates eligible for up to 48 hours of sick time per year, accrued per pay period, and between 80–200 hours of vacation time after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
• 8 hours of pay for each of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus 1 floating holiday; eligible for Holiday Premium Pay if worked on a holiday due to business need.
• Full‑time salaried associates entitled to paid time away with no specified limit, subject to manager approval.
