Under general supervision, this position is a front‑line provider responsible for performing a variety of semi‑skilled and skilled tasks in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of public streets and rights of way throughout the Town.
* This position performs duties deemed to be safety sensitive. Employees holding this position participate in pre‑employment and random drug testing under Town’s policies*

- Operates and maintains motor vehicles, road construction equipment/tools, and snow/ice removal equipment.
- Provides the Streets Supervisor and/or Streets Lead Technician with status reports and advises on projects/tasks related to or assigned to the Streets Division.
- Maintains and repairs the Town’s street and right‑of‑way assets.
- Performs snow/ice removal operations on a rotating schedule when necessary.
- Responds to natural and man‑made disasters by performing street maintenance duties as required.
- Maintains asphalt in streets, right of ways, medians, and sidewalks; this includes the demolishing and removing existing asphalt, establishing subgrade surfaces, sealing cracks and mastic, patching and repairing potholes, and patching and sectioning repairs which includes surface and full‑depth replacement.
- Maintains concrete in streets, right of ways, medians, and sidewalks; this includes the demolishing, removing, and replacing of existing concrete, implementing, and understanding appropriate mix designs for the designated area, and forming/pouring concrete.
- Maintains right of way by means of mowing, edging, weed mitigating, street sweeping, and maintaining landscape.
- Services and maintains assigned equipment and makes minor mechanical adjustments and repairs on related equipment such as checking/servicing fuel, oil, coolant levels, tire pressure, and general appearance; takes necessary steps to bring equipment up to operating standards; prepares and maintains detailed usage records.
- Complies with and ensures compliance with all organizational values, policies, procedures, and all verbal and written instructions.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, certification and/or licensure required. An equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential duties and meet the necessary employment standards may be considered.
Technician I/II/III18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid Driver’s License issued by the State of Colorado for the type of vehicle or equipment operated; safe driving record and a minimum of two (2) years of driving history.
