About this RoleThe WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute seek a Medical Director of Non-invasive Cardiology/Imaging (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor) for faculty positions in Parkersburg, WV. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
QualificationsCandidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Candidates must be board certified in internal medicine and board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient care in non‑invasive cardiology and imaging.
- Teach medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows.
- Engage in clinical research and educational activities.
