Woodcraft is seeking a Tax & Compliance Accountant
. This is a technical specialist role responsible for ensuring accurate and timely execution of all tax, regulatory, and compliance obligations across a growing multi-location organization. This position centralizes oversight of sales and use tax, property and B&O taxes, franchise filings, insurance compliance, and vendor onboarding.

Essential Functions

Manage Tax Filings and Audits - Coordinate and respond to tax audits, support annual income tax coordination, annual 1099 preparation, and prepare and file sales and use tax returns.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance - File annual reports and franchise documents, ensure compliance with insurance requirements, and administer compliance programs.

Vendor Onboarding and System Management - Ensure accurate vendor setup and documentation, and develop and manage vendor onboarding processes.

Support Strategic and Operational Efficiency - Identify and implement process improvements, enhance audit readiness, internal controls, and fraud controls.

Cross-Functional Coordination - Work with internal departments to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Communication - Maintain clear and effective communication across teams.

Process Design and Implementation - Develop and improve processes for compliance and efficiency.

Ethical Practice - Uphold integrity and confidentiality in all tasks.

Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in all work.

Complex Problem Solving - Address and resolve complex compliance and tax issues.

Technical Skills - Advanced knowledge of Excel and other Office products.

Education and Experience

Completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as an accountant or in a relevant role.
Minimum of three to five years of financial and management experience in day-to-day financial operations within an organization.
