Within our Retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. A Technician will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store, assisting patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately, and delivering caring service that exceeds patient expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care, including immunization offers and problem resolution.
- Complete basic inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting‑bin inventories as directed.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including optional store travel within the market.
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, local laws and ethical principles, ensuring compliance with controlled‑substance dispensing and patient privacy.
- Deliver additional patient health‑care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and off‑site clinic staffing) where required by law and training.
- Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
- Educate patients about vaccine importance and refer to Pharmacist‑on‑duty for detailed questions.
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions; report events per public‑health requirements.
- Review and document patient immunization information.
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to age, education and licensure/certification.
