MS/Tele Stepdown Float Pool

What units are included in the float pool All inpatients units based on competency (ICU, Step-down, medical/surgical).

Ratios Depends on unit.

Med/surg=1:6.

Step-down = 1:4/5.

ICU = 1-2/3.

Required Certifications BLS, ACLS.

Common diagnoses/Types of patients Cardiac patients, ortho/neuro, surgical, medical – varies by unit.
