Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Internal Medicine & Pediatrics

Location: Parkersburg, West Virginia

About Our Practice

An established outpatient practice is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and dependable Nurse Practitioner to join our busy, established outpatient practice.

We provide comprehensive healthcare to a patient population consisting of approximately equal numbers of pediatric and adult patients in a fast-paced clinical setting. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and building lasting relationships with patients and families throughout our community.

The ideal candidate works well within a collaborative healthcare team and is committed to compassionate care, results management, and patient communication. The Nurse Practitioner will work in collaboration with an established physician in the community.

Experience in internal medicine, family practice, and/or pediatrics is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable caring for patients across a broad range of ages and medical needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in West Virginia, or eligibility to obtain West Virginia licensure.
• Active national certification through an appropriate certifying body.
• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current prescriptive authority in West Virginia, or eligibility to obtain it.
• Current BLS certification, or ability to obtain certification as required.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to professional accountability, teamwork, patient confidentiality, and high-quality care.
