Skilled Service Technician
Join the team at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center as a Skilled Service Technician. The role involves maintenance and repair of hospital buildings, ensuring a safe and functional environment for employees, patients, and the community.
Minimum Qualifications- HVAC License or Plumbing License or Electrician Journeyman or equivalent Certification/License OR Associate’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Five (5) years of experience in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or construction. Armed Forces training or industry training programs may qualify.
- Two years of technical school training in trades.
- Pool operations certification (COP).
- Hospital experience.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and follows correct chain of command in handling challenges, including crisis situations.
- Assumes responsibility for professional growth by attending formal and/or informal educational activities.
- Organizes and prioritizes time and tasks to meet work schedules and coordinate multiple factors impacting patient care.
- Follows parking, department locations, dress code, CCMC Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, confidentiality, and Emergency Management Plan.
- Follows exposure control, Office/workplace safety, and Risk Management policies.
- Maintains established department and hospital policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environment, infection, and hazardous material control.

Skills and Abilities- Familiar with tools, building codes, and general mechanical repairs.
- Capable of performing quality work with minimal instruction and supervision.
- Can follow verbal and written instructions, drawings, and communicate with others in a project.
- Can deal tactfully and harmoniously with patients, visitors, and staff.
