Position: Mental Health Nurse at Island Health
Enhance community care as a Mental Health and Addiction Services Nurse with Island Health. This full-time role focuses on providing intake, assessments, and treatment for mental health and substance use clients.

The Mental Health and Addiction Services Nurse is pivotal in the Vancouver Island Health Authority's multidisciplinary team. You will conduct nursing assessments, provide interventions, and offer consultations to clients and their families.

Your role will ensure quality care and effective collaboration with community resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical assessments and interventions for mental health clients

• Conduct intake and referrals for substance use treatment

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team

• Maintain patient safety and quality standards

• Promote independence and positive change for clients

Requirements:

• Active RN or RPN registration with BC College

• Two years related nursing experience

• Knowledge of mental health legislation and care programs

• Valid BC Driver's License

• Strong communication and organizational skills
