Community Housing Support Worker

Become a Community Housing Support Worker with Bonaventure Support Services in Parksville. Support diverse individuals with daily living activities and community participation on a full-time basis.

In this full-time role, you'll empower adults, youth, and children with diverse abilities under the guidance of a Program Manager. Core responsibilities include assisting with life skills, applying positive behavioral strategies, and collaborating with family and community partners. Your work will foster inclusion, dignity, and independence in those you support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities and health management

• Develop life skills promoting dignity and independence

• Implement behavioral strategies and crisis interventions

• Collaborate with families and community support teams

• Maintain health, safety, and wellbeing standards

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Services or equivalent

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Experience with diverse abilities preferred

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License

• Criminal Record Check and First Aid with CPR
