Position: Full-Time Community Housing Worker
Shape the lives of youth with diverse abilities at Bonaventure Support Services in Parksville. This full-time, live-in position ensures support for daily living and personal growth.

As a Community Housing Support Worker, you will empower youth by providing compassionate assistance in daily activities and personal care.

Your role will include helping individuals develop vital life skills and fostering independence through meaningful connections. Working closely with families and community partners, you will create an environment of support and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support youth in daily living activities and community participation

• Develop life skills promoting dignity and independence

• Apply behavioral strategies and crisis intervention skills

• Collaborate with families and community partners for holistic care

• Maintain health, safety, and wellbeing of individuals supported

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Services or equivalent

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with individuals with diverse abilities preferred

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and vehicle required

• First Aid with CPR and Food Safe Level 1 certifications
