On-Call Child and Youth Care Worker

Transform young lives as an On-Call Child and Youth Care Worker with Qualicum School District on Vancouver Island. This role focuses on providing crucial emotional and behavioral support to at-risk students.

In this on-call role, you will be part of the School-Based Team, responsible for guiding and implementing intervention strategies for students facing various challenges. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance and emotional support to students and families

• Design and implement individual intervention strategies

• Intervene in crisis situations with effective strategies

• Communicate with external agencies as needed

• Assist with program activities like field trips and group support

Requirements:

• Degree in Child and Youth Care

• Completion of supervised practicum

• One year of relevant experience

• Valid Emergency First Aid Certificate

• Class 5 BC driver's license
