Position: Community Support Worker for Diverse Youth
Become a vital part of Bonaventure Support Services in Parksville as a Community Housing Support Worker, providing full-time, live-in support to youth with diverse needs.

In this role, you will help individuals with daily living and promote their overall wellbeing by fostering independence and self-sufficiency. Your partnership with families and community stakeholders will be key in equipping youth with the tools they need to thrive. Engaging in collaborative care ensures everyone's needs are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aid youth in daily activities including personal care and nutrition

• Help develop essential life skills for independent living

• Use crisis intervention techniques and behavioral strategies

• Collaborate with a team and community partners for support

• Maintain a safe and healthy living environment

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Services or equivalent experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with diverse abilities preferred

• BC Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle

• First Aid with CPR certification required
