Parksville Community Housing Support Worker

Join our team as a Community Housing Support Worker in Parksville, specializing in overnight support for youth. Focus on enhancing their daily living skills during Friday and Saturday night shifts.

This full-time, hourly position operates from 6 pm to 6 am, where you will support youths’ activities related to health and well-being as well as collaboration with families and community agencies. You are responsible for applying behavioral strategies and ensuring a safe and respectful environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily living activities focused on youth wellness

• Assist with life skill development for independence

• Apply crisis intervention techniques effectively

• Collaborate with families and treatment professionals

• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Social Services, or relevant experience

• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities

• Preferred experience supporting diverse abilities

• Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License required

• First Aid with CPR, and further certifications
