Casual Community Support Worker

Make a difference in the lives of vulnerable adults with Island Crisis Care Society as a Casual Community Support Worker. You'll provide essential life skills training and emotional support while helping clients in various environments.

In this casual role, you will engage in program planning and assist clients with daily life skills, personal care, and budgeting. You’ll also facilitate recreational and educational activities tailored to client needs, empowering them to live more independently. Your supportive nature and compassion will be vital in managing client behavior and ensuring safety in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with assessment and personal service plans

• Provide life skills training and emotional support

• Facilitate social and vocational activities

• Prepare meals according to dietary needs

• Maintain safety standards and records

Requirements:

• Diploma in human or social services

• One year related experience preferred

Certifications:

First Aid, FOODSAFE, Naloxone

• Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills

• Able to uphold health and safety standards
