Melbourne Private Hospital are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our neuroscience ward. This position has flexible working hours.

Melbourne Private Hospitalis  a 124 bed private hospital co-located with theRoyal Melbourne Hospital in  the heart of Parkville, 1.7km from Melbourne CBD. Our hospital offers highly specialised services including extensive neurosurgery, neurology, advanced coronary care,cardiothoracic, orthopaedic and general surgery.

These services are supported by a 10-bed intensive care unit, 4-bed acute coronary care unit and 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit.

Our Neurosciences ward is a 30 bed ward including a 6-bed neurosurgical high dependency unit. This ward cares for patients with complex neurological disorders and conditions.

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members;
  Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice

• Authority to Work in Australia
• Working with Children check
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in speciality
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement " (salaries range between $35.33 and $47.25 per hour).
