Job description

For our IT team, we are looking for an IT Manufacturing & Purchasing Associate Manager, within the Manufacturing, Purchasing and Product Data unit. The role reports to the Manufacturing, Purchasing & Product Data Associate Director and it is based in our headquarters in Parma.

Job purpose

The role is responsible for designing the solutions and managing the execution of the assigned projects; s/he will monitor the status of initiatives and activities while maintaining status reports and adherence to the IT governance model, will ensure the commitment of the whole project team (internal/external resources), and ensure a high standard of solution quality. The person in this role will work closely with Business Partners (Global and Regional), IT Infrastructure, Architecture & Cybersecurity, and all IT colleagues, ensuring the proper application of the company’s ‘security by design’ guidelines.

S/he will anticipate risks and proactively inform the relevant manager/stakeholders on issues and timing changes.

Key accountabilities

Define and maintain project plans and activity schedules; manage efficiently and effectively the internal and external resources dedicated/involved in the project

Allocate resources to the required activities, executing periodic checks on progress and periodically perform control activities, keeping business stakeholders and the Steering Committee updated, proactively highlighting possible risks/issues and implementing the defined actions in order to manage risks

Apply her/his expertise to design innovative solutions whenever required or to leverage existing technologies to obtain new solutions, according to a cost/benefit evaluation

Maintain effective relationships with Process Owners, Key Users and other Business Stakeholders, manage the meeting calendars, guarantee that the requested documentation (project and cross-project) is delivered as established for the different project execution phases, check the quality of intermediate results/deliverables, in order to be aligned with the business needs and the IT standards

Promote communication, good relationship and commitment within the project team Participate in evaluating requests for process improvements in the project scope areas, executing in-depth analysis of the requests with the process owners according to the guidelines shared with the manager

Ensure that the defined solutions fit to the requirements, considering possible evolutions and synergies with other requests in the area of competence or in other areas

Ensure the Application Maintenance team involvement to perform the proper project handover

Give support to teams in consulting and mentoring on methodology and deal with exceptions

Monitor project economics status, in order to be in line with the planned costs and to highlight possible deviations

Ensure that the project implementations are coherent with IT Governance in all phases, from initial approval to follow-up and final user acceptance.

Requirements Master's degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent3+ years of experience in system integration consulting companies and/or IT departments of multinational companies, performing solution design, system configuration and testing, project management
