Accountant, Financial Reporting, Senior Accountant

We are looking for an accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

This is a great opportunity for an organized accounting professional to support core accounting activity from home, in a remote role for candidates based in Columbus, OH.

• Record and review general ledger entries, including accruals and adjustments
• Complete account reconciliations and investigate differences
• Support the monthly close by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Assist with financial statement preparation and basic variance analysis
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bank reconciliation tasks as needed
• Respond to internal questions and requests from other departments
• Help prepare for audits and tax filings by assembling requested records
• Follow and improve documented accounting procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
• 1-3 years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software and solid Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and dependable follow-through
• Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly in a remote setting
