Reports To: Program Manager, Test & Tutoring Services

Employment Type: Part‑Time Support Staff

Schedule: As determined by departmental needs

Pay: $18.03 per hour (Set Rate Non‑Bargaining)

The Information Technology (IT) Tutor works directly with students, delivering one‑on‑one or small group tutoring aimed at fostering independent learning and helping students achieve their academic goals.

• Provide one‑on‑one and small group tutoring support.
• Deliver subject‑specific content strategies tailored to students’ learning styles.
• Assist students in using equipment and learning materials.
• Conduct “class visits” and promote the College’s tutoring services.
• Maintain accurate tutoring records and complete required paperwork.
• Develop and maintain departmental instructional materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Knowledge of courses such as Programming Logic, Computer Applications, Quality Assurance, Web Programming, Software Testing.
• Experience tutoring or teaching in IT or related subjects.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to handle confidential information.

• Work performed in a normal, professional office environment; requires standing, walking, and using a computer for extended periods.
