Compensation Details: SALARY IS COMMENSURATE WITH EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE. NO STATE OF GEORGIA BENEFITS.

This course focuses on the normal structure and function of the human body and provides an overview of each body system, how the systems coordinate activities to maintain a balanced state, and how these systems recognize deviations from the normal. Specific topics include general plan and function of the human body, integumentary system, skeletal system, muscular system, nervous and sensory systems, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, urinary system, and reproductive system.

Laboratory exercises support lecture concepts. The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for this course.

Master’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology
* OR* possess an earned Master’s/Doctorate in a related field of study with at least eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in Anatomy & Physiology from a regionally accredited university
* OR* an advanced degree such as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.), Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.), and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree.
• Two (2) years prior teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
• Experience with Blackboard.
• Experience using advanced media technology, such as distance learning and online learning applications within an online or hybrid environment.

Employment is contingent based upon successful completion of credit and/or all appropriate background checks.

Minimum qualifications for this position will be determined by the teaching discipline and compliance with appropriate accrediting bodies. Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.
