This is what you will do

As the Federal National Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that innovative therapies reach patients through public channels for Chiesi AIR products. You will be responsible for anticipating and influencing policy shifts, reducing risk through compliant engagement, and providing critical feedback to inform product development and lifecycle management. Your work will not only drive organizational success but also contribute to the broader goal of advancing public health.

You’ll

be responsible for:
  • Policy Anticipation & Influence:
    Track, analyze, and proactively respond to evolving healthcare policies impacting government access and reimbursement.
  • Risk Reduction:
    Cultivate strong, transparent, and compliant relationships with government agencies to mitigate organizational risks.
  • Stakeholder Feedback:
    Gather, synthesize, and communicate feedback from government stakeholders, guiding internal teams on product development and lifecycle management decisions.
  • Work with Government accounts – DOD, Indian Health Services, VA, Medicare and Medicaid to ensure payers provide access to Chiesi AIR products.
  • Lead proactive engagement efforts with key government stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization in policy forums, public comment periods, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the entire Market Access team and assist with government accounts with the assigned team members (Medicaid State Programs).
You will need to have
  • BS/BA life sciences, public health, public policy, business administration, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in market access, government accounts, or healthcare policy roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government-funded healthcare programs, reimbursement mechanisms, and policy frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate policy trends and influence key decision‑makers.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, communicate, and implement successful strategic initiatives.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
  • Self‑directed and confident, with developed ability to build teamwork centered on shared commitment and goals to achieve high standards of performance.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and multifunctional resources concurrently while maintaining high attention to detail while responding to rapidly changing priorities and aggressive deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project), Veeva, Adobe and ISI Toolbox.
Compensation

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $180,000 to $215,000. Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized…
