Responsibilities- Provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front-line manager for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives for three tax offices. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.
- Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time from January to April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
- Lead daily team meetings, create associate work schedules across all offices, ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management, and travel between offices as required.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing community involvement.
- Assist DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions; conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates.
- Ability to execute growth plans and lead a growth-oriented culture; strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset; proficient in MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries is a plus.
