Experienced Quality Engineer

F.I.T, Incorporated, an automotive manufacturing and distribution company located in Valley City, Ohio, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Quality Engineer.

This is a fast-paced position and the ability to prioritize and organize is essential. Accuracy and working knowledge of IATF and ISO procedures is both crucial, expected, and of the highest priority in this position.

Well qualified candidates will possess a minimum of the following:

• Reliable attendance is essential and expected
• Minimum of 3 Years of experience as a QE in a manufacturing setting is preferred
• Metallurgical Engineering background helpful but not required
• Prior use and understanding of an ERP system is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret quality standards, specifications, and written instructions
• Ability to solve moderate to complex problems and complete multiple projects concurrently; uses advanced problem-solving methods to make decisions
• Prior skills, and proven ability, to successfully utilize the following methodologies and equipment – including but not limited to; calipers, micrometers, gages, optical comparators, x-ray, microscope, permsascope testing, torque tension testing, grinders & wet saw, hardness testing
• Superior attention to detail and quality is imperative
• Superior organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite – Advanced Excel skills required
• Ability to successfully meet the demands of a fast-paced work environment
• Adherence to safe work practices required
• Ability to multi-task is essential
• Ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment;
  Emphasis on teamwork
• Professional and courteous demeanor and communication skills are required
• Ability to extend workday/workweek beyond core hours when necessary
• Clean driving record / Ability to travel if situation requires;
  Supplier visits may be necessary

This is a fast-paced, hands-on position; and the ability to prioritize and organize is essential. We are looking for a detail-driven and proactive Manufacturing

Quality Engineer to join our team. This role will include, but is not limited to; responsibility for maintaining and improving our quality systems, resolving product non-conformances, corrective actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prevent defects. It will serve as a key technical resource for process validation, statistical analysis, and internal, as well as supplier, quality.
