Sunday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:30pm.

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 a/year, depending on experience.

Job Summary

The Sous Chef supports the execution of elevated, executive‑level corporate catering within a fast‑paced, high‑volume drop‑off operation for Martin & Fitch Catering. The role leads daily kitchen production to ensure consistency, refined presentation, and on‑time delivery while managing prep schedules, inventory, and back‑of‑house staff. Working closely with logistics and culinary leadership, the Sous Chef maintains strict food safety standards, adapts quickly to changing demand, and upholds brand quality in a deadline‑driven corporate environment.

  • 5+ years of professional culinary experience, including a minimum of 2–3 years in a Sous Chef or senior leadership role
  • Proven background in executive‑level corporate catering, premium drop‑off service, luxury events, or high‑end commissary operations
  • Demonstrated ability to execute refined, presentation‑driven menus at scale while maintaining consistency and brand standards
  • Advanced knowledge of production planning, recipe scaling, and batch execution for complex, multi‑menu daily service
  • Experience leading, coaching, and holding teams accountable in deadline‑driven, high‑expectation environments
  • Exceptional attention to detail in portioning, packaging, labeling, and visual presentation appropriate for executive clients
  • Strong command of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP protocols; ability to enforce standards consistently across teams
  • Proven experience managing inventory, par levels, ordering, and food cost controls with a strategic approach to waste reduction
  • Ability to anticipate operational challenges and proactively adjust staffing, prep schedules, and workflow to meet exact delivery timelines
  • Highly organized with excellent time‑management and prioritization skills
  • Clear, professional communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with culinary leadership, logistics, and client‑facing teams
  • Professional presence and discretion consistent with executive‑level corporate environments
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, and weekends as business needs require
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting C‑suite, board‑level, or high‑profile corporate clients
  • Background in fine dining, contract food service management companies, luxury hospitality, or chef‑driven catering brands
  • Culinary degree or formal culinary training
  • Serv Safe Manager certification
  • Experience working in multi‑unit, large‑scale corporate food service or premium catering operations
  • Familiarity with allergen management, dietary accommodations, and specialized corporate client requirements
  • Proficiency with kitchen management systems, inventory software, or production tracking tools
  • Demonstrated contribution to process improvement, operational efficiencies, or quality assurance initiatives
