All About General MerchandiseGeneral Merchandise and Food Sales teams enable a consistent guest experience by ensuring product is set, in-stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They lead inbound, outbound, replenishment, and promotional signing processes for GM areas, conduct inventory accuracy, merchandise setup and maintenance, and pricing processes. They support pick, pack and ship fulfillment work to enable efficient guest delivery.
Role OverviewThe General Merchandise Expert helps deliver a guest-first experience and supports store operations, including product receiving, stocking, backroom organization, signage, pricing, and inventory management. They may assist with guest services, back-up cashier duties, and digital fulfillment processes while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
Responsibilities- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and assist guests to solve their needs.
- Receive products, restock shelves, organize the backroom, arrange merchandise, and set up promotional signs for GM areas.
- Operate power equipment if certified and perform price changes, merchandise setup, maintenance, and inventory accuracy as directed.
- Understand how operational procedures affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.
- Be knowledgeable about store resources, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve the experience.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier and digital fulfillment processes (e.g., picking/packing orders or delivering pickup orders) while complying with relevant laws.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

- You are open to a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times.

- Ability to handle cash operations as needed.
- Climb ladders and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds without assistance.
- Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions for certain duties (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Shift length may vary and mobility is required for the duration of a scheduled shift.
