Salary Range: $18.00 To $22.00 Hourly

MAIN FUNCTION:

Perform security functions for assigned shift to ensure the safety of the staff and facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience in military, law enforcement or security field
• Warehouse and Corporate environment preferred.
• CPR/First Aid or EMT certification highly desirable
• Willingness to be a "first responder" for emergency situations.
• Good communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively in English
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus
• Ability to work well under pressure and in emergency situations
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
• Good conflict resolutions skills
• Work schedule flexibility and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Ability to handle confidential matters and maintain confidentiality.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position requires some lifting, exterior work in inclement weather, and standing for extended periods of time.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. • Perform interior and exterior patrols
• Provide basic (non-technical) backup facilities support (e.g. transport, space redesign, emergency repairs).
• Alert management immediately about any policy violations, accidents, or other unusual occurrences
• Prepare written reports on policy violations, accidents, medical situations and other unusual occurrences or incidents.
• Provide security on various assigned shifts, as directed
• Provide physical and personnel security as defined by the company
• Inspect all fire safety devices such as exit signs, fire extinguishers, and other security alarm equipment on a monthly basis
• Responsible for adherence to all department policies and standard operating procedures.
• Support Security Lead and Manager as needed
