DSP Direct Support Professional - 24 hrs
Position at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Paterson – Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD).
Salary: $20.06 per hour Monday through Friday and $21.06 per hour for shifts beginning 11 PM Friday to 11 PM Sunday. Non‑work time will be paid at the base rate.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal health, safety, and welfare in the group home.
- Provide or supervise bathing, toileting, and personal care.
- Participate in cleaning, cooking, and life‑skills activities.
- Administer or assist with medication administration.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and residents.
- Drive residents to and from day programs or community appointments using agency vehicles.
- Document all services daily.

- Experience with /DD populations is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid (non‑provisional) driver’s license.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements for CPR/First Aid and emergency evacuation procedures.
Part‑time shift: 24 hours per week – Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 3 PM–9 PM.

Staff meetingsAll staff must attend a monthly staff meeting (date/time announced in advance). Meeting waivers are available for secondary employment or school conflicts with appropriate documentation.
