Seasonal Office Clerk
Position Summary:
The Seasonal Office Clerk provides clerical and administrative support during peak periods such as tax and holiday seasons. Tasks include filing, data entry, managing correspondence, scanning documents, and assembling tax returns into the electronic tracking system. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to follow department procedures.
Duration:
January to mid-April.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Major Duties and Responsibilities- Perform general office duties such as filing, data entry and managing correspondence.
- Copies documents as needed.
- Retrieve records as requested and maintains the filing system.
- Disposes of obsolete files in accordance with established retention schedule or legal requirements.
- Assembles tax returns, scans documents, and inputs information into the electronic tracking system.
- Provide support for administrative team as assigned.
- Answer phones, greet clients and visitors.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of firm and client information.
- Ability to maintain all assigned files so they are current, daily.
- Attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Effectively communicate through oral and written means.
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
- Ability to use office equipment including a computer, copier, and printer.
- Ability to work in a team‑work environment.
