Quantity Surveyor Qatar

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team! In this role, you will perform standard estimating and quantity surveying activities typical to the engineering and construction industry. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate cost management, contract administration, and financial control for large-scale infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Accurately measure and price works using contract drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
  • Handle all post-contract quantity surveying functions, including interim and final payments, variations, commercial and contractual correspondence, cash flows, and claims.
  • Provide advice on contractual matters and ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
  • Advise on contractor resource allocation and audit payments to contractors.
  • Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations and check and record measures of work done.
  • Prepare variations and day‑works and monitor contract final cost estimates.
  • Maintain expenditure records and review, negotiate, and prepare claim settlements.
  • Coordinate and monitor the activities of the quantity surveying team.
  • Prepare financial statements for monthly reports and ensure accurate cost reporting.
  • Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in large infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on roads, lighting, and utilities and other related infrastructure works.
  • MME registration is required.
  • Knowledge of pre‑ and post‑contract administration.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to handle complex commercial and contractual matters.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
  • Consultancy experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Familiarity with international construction standards and local regulations, particularly in the Middle East or GCC region.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
